Gym 30

What up, world? Guess who finally showed her face in her new gym today? That's right. I'm getting back in the habit. (Not *trying* to get back in the habit...as Yoda says. "there is no try. Only do." or something like that). Anyway, it's time for some serious change, and I think I'm ready.

If you can believe it, my ass saw was 6am looks like this morning. I got up and went to the YMCA and walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill between 2.7-3.3 pace (but mostly 3.0) for 1.48 miles. I'm going to stick to that goal for the next 2 weeks. But I think I'll change it up and check out the elliptical tomorrow.

I also need to sign up for their workout tracking. It's built into the machines so that when you use them, they'll track your workouts. It's called Fitix or something. Sounds pretty neat, so I'm siked to check it out.

Umm what else? Oh! I came home and had 2 sunny-side-up eggs for breakfast, with a half slice of an English muffin and about 1.5 cups of OJ. I think I'll take a banana for work snack and explore the healthy salad/soup choices at some nearby Potbelly/Panera joints... Someday, I'll bring my lunch to work. For now, I just want to really focus on setting up a gym habit in the morning and tracking my food intake. So Gym 30 is my goal. I'm not going to count exact days or anything, but my goal is to make it to the gym every morning for at least 30 minutes Monday through Saturday. And track food on those days, too. Sunday is my break day. No workouts, no tracking (unless I really really really want to). I want to do this through the end of December, and hopefully continue into January. But I want to take this sorta a-day-at-a-time for now. Nothing too elaborate for now... Maybe next week I'll think up some rewards for myself for completing the goal; we'll see.

Off to get dressed! I think it's going to be a productive day :)
